Dive into Part 1 of MediThrive’s Vape Mastery Series as we focus on batteries and vape device types. Follow along as Nicholas breaks down the ins and outs of choosing the perfect device and shares his top picks from the MediThrive menu! |
There are 3 types of vape devices on the market to date.
1. 510 Thread Batteries
2. Pods a.k.a. Proprietary Devices
3. Disposables
In California, we prefer to call disposables “all-in-one.”
People use different types of vape devices for several reasons, including convenience, customization, and specific needs. Today, Nicholas discusses what he likes about each and how he uses them so you can find the best vapes for you.
Vapes allow me to control how strong of an effect I get because I can consume more or stop as I wish. It’s different than, say, edibles, where you’re all-in for a set period of time. They’re also quick and easy to use, not to mention portable.
I like using different types of hardwares and comparing the features that batteries have. Each has different features.
I prefer any device that has side air holes or carbs. These are open hole found on most devices that allow air to flow through. When companies put the carb on the bottom, my hand clogs it as I hold it.
I also have a preference for any battery that alerts me when battery life is getting low. Clearly branded batteries do this!
510 threads will typically produce more heat, and when I use distillate, I can rip them fatter.
All-in-ones are my favorite for going out and about because I don’t have to worry about charging or losing my battery. They’re also quicker.
Proprietary vapes like Stiiizy and turn are nice because I know that no matter what, my pod will work with my battery. There are no compatibility issues. When you find a company you really love, it’s tough to ever go back to another system.
Most batteries have a pre-heat mode and pre-heat modes set it at a lower temperature so it doesn’t overheat as you hit your vape. This is the best way to maximize cart usage. It will start on low and not burn up your oil while letting you take a big rip.
PLAY with the airholes (carbs) so you can take fat rips from the cart.
READ the instructions. If your device has a button, you’ll likely need to push it quickly 5 times to turn it on.
Proprietary options like turn are the most fun to use. I also love that they look and feel like airpods.
It’s also fun to fidget with, like a spinner. Turn also has a solid selection of all types of oils and consistently runs specials.
510 Thread – Clearly Ripped is very discreet and protects your cartridge within the chamber. I also love the auto-shutoff feature that saves your battery.
Disposables like CLSICS and Nasha are easy to use, button-less, super small, and fit in my pocket without taking up space.
Most people don’t deviate from their battery – Try new things! Find out if you prefer one or another. You can be cautious about spending money on another device format. There are specials all the time at MediThrive that let you try a new system at a low price.
If you are new to vaping, ask yourself what you want out of your vaping experience. Different concentrates will give you different effects. So pick the right device that can support the concentrate you want.
Also, know yourself! Do you lose things easily or always forget to charge your battery? Maybe an all-in-one is best so you won’t spend too much on replacing batteries.
