  • What is Medithrive?

    Medithrive is a fully licensed dispensary and delivery service providing medical and recreational cannabis to the San Francisco Bay Area for over a decade.

  • Why is Medithrive a historic location?

    Medithrive is a testament to the fight for cannabis legalization and a symbol of American freedom. If our walls could talk they would tell you how our location has supplied marijuana and hemp products for medical purposes since 1996, right in the heart of the Mission District. When Medithrive took over the building more than a decade ago in 2009, we continued to support the community. We created an inviting atmosphere and beautiful store with the best cannabis available for San Francisco. When the United States government forced dozens of legal shops to close their doors, we developed a delivery service to offer our customers the same great products and bring them right to their door. We will never give up on providing cannabis to those who need it. What doesn’t kill us, makes us stronger. As soon as we could, we reopened our doors and now we are better than ever with a sophisticated storefront AND delivery. These walls hold a 24 year old tradition to serve you proudly.   • Why should I visit Medithrive Dispensary?

    We take pride in our exceptional customer service. We offer an extensive menu of high quality cannabis products in six categories:

  • How many brands do you carry?

    75+ brands and over 450 different products. If we don’t carry it, you will not like it.

  • Do you lab test the products offered through Medithrive Delivery?

    Yes. To ensure the highest quality, Medithrive Delivery only carries products that have been lab tested and meet all state packaging requirements.

  • What is the Lowest Price Guarantee?

    We promise that we have the best prices in town. But you have to help us. If you show us a San Francisco licensed dispensary or delivery advertisement selling the same product for less on their regular menu pricing, we will “Beat It by a Buck”! ”

  • Is it legal to be a Medithrive member?

    Yes, being a member of Medithrive is absolutely legal under California state law as long as you have a valid ID and you are over the age of 21.

  • What is your license number?

    License # C10-0000490-LIC

  • Can anybody visit the dispensary?

    No, only individuals who are 21 years of age or older and have a valid ID can enter.

    The only exception includes individuals 18+ with a valid doctor’s recommendations. You will need to email us the recommendation form and valid ID.

  • I am visiting from out of state or country. Do I qualify to shop?

    Any individual who is 21 years or older with a valid, government-issued photo ID may purchase from us. We cannot accept medical patients without a state issued ID, driver’s license, or passport.

  • What type of ID is accepted?

    Your state driver’s license, state identification card, or passport will be accepted as a valid form of identification.

  • Is a doctor’s medical marijuana recommendation required to order from Medithrive?

    A medical marijuana recommendation is NOT required for adults over the age of 21, but IS required for members age 18-21.

  • Does my medical marijuana recommendation exempt me from sales tax?

    Members with a verified government-issued MMIC (Medical Marijuana Identification Card) are eligible to claim a sales tax exemption on all purchases.

    Medical cannabis cards issued outside of California are not accepted.
    If you already have an MMIC, please contact customer service directly to activate your exemption.
    To obtain this card, you will need to contact your local government’s Health Department.
    In accordance with California State Law, a standard medical marijuana recommendation does not qualify for a sales tax exemption.

  • What is Medithrive’s return policy?

    All sales are final. MediThrive only allows returns for the incorrect product delivery or defective cartridges (within 48 hours of purchasing).

  • I have some feedback. How can I share this?

  • Am I able to receive my veteran 25% off discount on delivery orders?

    Yes! If you are a veteran please indicate your veteran status in the “Notes” section of your order. We will ask you to send proof of your veteran status. A Department of Veterans Affair card, or Military ID with expiration date will suffice. We cannot apply the discount retroactively.

  • Does Medithrive provide discounts for seniors?

    Medithrive is happy to offer a 25% discount for seniors.

    For seniors 65 or older: Upload your ID on our website and enter a valid birthday. Please contact us to receive your discount code before checking out.

  • Can I use more than one discount code per order?

    No, only one discount per order will be accepted.

  • Is ordering from your delivery service more expensive than shopping at the dispensary?

    No, we provide our customers with the same competitive pricing both online and in our brick and mortar store.

  • Do you have delivery deals for first time customers?

    Yes! SF Early Bird – Place your order today for delivery tomorrow between 9-12PM and receive 12% off pre-order.

    We save you a headache and deliver to your doorstep. Deliveries arrive within in hour or less – depending on rush hour and traffic

Tax FAQs
  • Do Medithrive’s list prices include tax?

    No, and taxes per each city and county may vary; therefore, the final total will differ from each location.

  • What are the new taxes on cannabis?

    Customers will be subject to their cities’ sales tax + a California cannabis tax, which will be calculated in your cart. In accordance with California state law we charge taxes on all cannabis purchases. No customer is entirely exempt from taxes.

    People with a state-issued medical recommendation will be exempt from sales tax but will still need to pay the cannabis tax. If you are a regular medical user, getting a state issued recommendation could be worthwhile. Find out more here.

  • What taxes do you collect?

    Effective January 1, 2018, a 15% excise tax was imposed upon retail purchasers of all cannabis and cannabis products, including medicinal cannabis. and distributors are required to calculate and collect the amount of excise tax due on the cannabis or cannabis products they supply to you. The 15% excise tax is calculated based on the average market price from the retail sales multiplied by a 1.6x markup. As a retailer, we are required to pay the cannabis excise tax to the distributor and collect the cannabis excise tax from the customers. No cannabis and/or cannabis products may be sold unless the cannabis excise tax is paid by the purchaser (consumer) at the time of sale.

  • I’m new to cannabis. Do you have any guidelines to help me as a new consumer?

  • How much cannabis can I legally purchase in one day?

    Adult-Use Members: 28.5 grams of cannabis flower (1oz) (or) 8 grams of concentrated cannabis
    Medicinal Members: 228 grams of cannabis flower (8oz) (or) 8 grams of concentrated cannabis

  • How do I store my vape pen when it isn’t in use?

    Keep in a cool and dimly lit area. Heat causes leaking. Store it upright; do not lay it on its side. Warm your cartridge for the best hit. To warm, use a button battery, such as Heavy Hitters Button Battery; hold down for 10 seconds at a time.

  • Are my cannabis vaping materials safe?

    Cannabis products sold by licensed retailers must comply with strict state testing standards to ensure that they are produced safely, properly packaged and labeled, and have not been tampered with. Do not vape cannabis products purchased from unlicensed retailers.”

  • What are my cannabis products being tested for?

  • Can I travel with cannabis?

    Because marijuana isn’t federally legal, you cannot take cannabis products out of the state in which it was purchased.

  • How much marijuanna would I need for a party?

    That depends on your friends and how many you are inviting. But please, be aware that we can only deliver to the person who makes the order and purchases the cannabis.

  • I’m a brand. How can I sell my goods on Medithrive?

    Due to the high number of people wanting to sell their goods on Medithrive, we can’t reply to everyone. But please, email a bit about your brand to info@getMedithrive.com

THE MEDITHRIVE CLUB MED LOYALTY REWARDS PROGRAM FAQ

  • How does The Medithrive Club Medi Loyalty Rewards Program work?

    Once signed up, you will accrue 3% of your order’s subtotal back in rewards with every purchase that can be redeemed for discounts on future purchases. Rewards will be displayed at the bottom of your receipt after every purchase. You will also receive occasional text updates with special offers, rare product drops, and information about events at Medithrive. You can opt out at any time.

  • Who is eligible to join?

    Membership in Club Medi Loyalty Rewards Program is free to legal U.S. residents at least 21 years of age or 18 years of age with a medical recommendation.

  • I’m unable to access my Club Medi Loyalty Rewards Program. Where can I find them?

    Club Medi Loyalty Rewards can be found at the bottom of your receipt after each transaction. Or ask your cashier when you’re in-store.

  • Why should I opt-in to text and email messaging?

    When you opt in to text and/or email, you will be enrolled in Club Medi, which will give you exclusive access to flash offers sent directly to your phone, more opportunities to save on your favorite products. You’ll also be the first to know about limited product drops and exotic strains.

  • When can I start using my Rewards?

    Rewards will be added to your account within 24 hours of a qualifying purchase. The total amount of existing Rewards will be printed on the bottom of your receipt after every purchase.

  • What are qualifying purchases?

    Rewards are earned on all in-store and pick up -online purchases, except purchases made prior to becoming a Club Medi Loyalty Rewards Program member.

  • How can I use my Rewards?

    Rewards Can be used in increments of $10.00 off your purchase of $50.00 or more.
    Max of Rewards in one purchase $50.00 off $250.00.

    Rewards are redeemable in our store. You can choose to use your earned discounts at any time, or to continue to accrue points for larger discounts in the future.

  • Who do I contact with questions about my loyalty points?

    Please email us at budtender@medithrive.com with any questions about, or issues with, your loyalty rewards.

  • Can I combine my loyalty rewards with other deals or promotions?

    Yes, our budtenders will ensure that you get the greatest savings on each specific purchase at the time of check-out.

  • How do I cancel my membership?

    Email budtender@medithrive.com or ask any Medithrive associate on your next visit.

  • Why aren’t Rewards available online?

    The provider doesn’t offer it at this time.

  • Are Rewards earned off my grand total or subtotal?

    Rewards are based on the subtotal of the purchase.

  • **Club Medi Loyalty Rewards have no cash value, can’t transfer or cash out. Medithrive reserves the right to alter or cancel Club Medi Loyalty Rewards at any time.
