Our location was one of the first dispensaries to serve the community when medical cannabis was legalized for people suffering from HIV, AIDS, Cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. We remained open year after year despite the odds and provided free cannabis to those who couldn’t afford it through the Compassion Program.
Since California legalized recreational cannabis, the industry has blossomed and grown tremendously. But we cannot forget the many medical cannabis activists who were negatively affected by the “War on Pot.” Thousands were discriminated against, mistreated, harassed, arrested, and torn from their families as a consequence of pursuing a better quality of living. These crimes against humanity unproportionately targeted minorities.
These good men and women deserve a chance to enter the legal cannabis industry, and MediThrive has begun its own Social Equity Program to help them to do it!
Social Equity programs in the Cannabis Industry offer financial assistance, information, and opportunity to those who were impacted by unfair policies and systemic racism. Through access to resources and funding otherwise difficult to come by, more people will be an active part of the cannabis community again. Owning your own cannabis company is a complicated process, but with the right assistance, it can be extremely rewarding!
By lifting up those who were battered down, we at MediThrive hope to empower an industry that embraces diversity and supports one another. Those who are home grown in the San Francisco Bay Area and are struggling with the marketing transition to Prop 215 deserve to have their chance to shine and succeed.
If you were an activist attacked by the War on Drugs and want to take back the game, we want to work with you!
Getting legally established takes education, time, and a financial investment you may not have. Don’t cut corners or costs with low budget lawyers. Receive the highest quality legal advice with the law office MediThrive personally uses.
